Naked Cake

Join us for this fun and creative 4-hour class and learn how to create a beautiful & indulgent two tiered semi naked cake, incorporating a drip cake effect and fresh flowers. 

Students are most welcome to adjust the finish to enhance the naked finish effect even further making it a fully naked cake, or they may select to create a fully covered cake instead. Students can also decide if they would like to incorporate the drip effect or not. 

What you will learn: 

  • how to build and layer a two tiered cake (6 & 8 inch vanilla cake) 
  • how to incorporate internal support in the stacking of you cake to ensure that your cake is secure 
  • how to make a white chocolate ganache 
  • how to ganache a two tiered cake and achieve perfect edges
  • how to create a semi-naked or more pronounced naked cake effect  
  • how to make ganache to create the dripping technique 
  • how to prepare fresh flowers to ensure they can be safely used on a cake 
  • how to arrange fresh flowers delicately to bring out the full beauty of your cake 

All students are hands-on and work on their own two-tiered cake.

You will leave this class with your own two-tiered cake in hand as well as a detailed step-by-step manual. 

All materials, including the fresh flowers are included in the cost of the course. Flowers provided may vary depending on seasonality. Students are most welcome to bring their own flowers if desired.

We use 100% butter for our buttercream piping and masking recipes. No margarines or artificial fats are used.
