Entertaining Breads

Having a dinner party? Impress your guests by making a variety of savoury breads perfect for accompanying cheese platters, antipasto plates, entrees and main courses.

This hands-on course will teach you how to make four different entertaining style breads from around the world, using a variety of dough making methods. All bread shapes are moulded by hand, ensuring you can easily replicate them at home.


What you will learn:

  • How to make four different bread doughs from scratch
  • Italian grissini – perfect for dipping!
  • Lavash – a delicious addition to your cheese platter
  • Turkish bread – nigella seeded slices to add some extra flavour to your antipasto plate
  • French fougasse – swap traditional bread rolls with this beautifully cut bread centrepiece
  • Important technical aspects of dough making such as ingredient functions, flour types, hydration, moulding techniques, proving and baking conditions.

All students will make four doughs from scratch, producing generous amounts that will enable you to practice your hand moulding techniques more than once.

Students will take home all breads produced, as well as a detailed recipe booklet is provided as part of the course. All materials are included in the cost of the course.
