Learn how to create your own light and fluffy vanilla cupcakes and decorate them using a range of intricate succulent designs, perfect for anyone that loves cupcakes or gardening. 

Students will have time to practice their piping skills to perfect their succulents and all techniques taught in this class are interchangeable and can easily be transferred onto a cake.

What you will learn: 

  • how to prepare ingredients for a cupcake mix and techniques for an all-in batter method 
  • how to calculate the batter amount needed to achieve specific cupcake requirements  
  • how to calculate oven temperature and baking times based on batter size 
  • how to avoid your cupcakes from peaking during the baking process  
  • how to avoid your cupcakes from shrinking after baking 
  • how to make perfectly textured American buttercream (demonstration)
  • how to achieve natural colour tone using gel colouring
  • how to ice cupcakes smoothly with the use of a pallet knife 
  • how to use various piping tools and handle a piping bag in a proper way to achieve the desired outcome 
  • how to angle your work in different ways depending on the various piping nozzles used 
  • learn the concept of spinning a flower nail 
  • how to pipe plants onto a flower nail, transfer and arrange the designs onto a cupcake with the use of a flower lifter 
  • how to pipe plants directly onto a cupcake 

All our students are hands-on and work on their own cupcakes. A detailed step-by-step manual is provided to ensure that students can recreate the designs again and again.
